Partners:

Magali TOUROUDE BARBOT, co-founder and President of SIMODORO®-ip, is a graduate in engineering from the School of Industrial Biology (EBI) and a French and European Patent Attorney. She worked for more than ten years in two of the most important Parisian IP law firms specialized in biology.

She advises both French and foreign clients, particularly in the field of cosmetics, the food-processing industry, and pharmacy. She also helps clients in drafting and negotiating contracts (MTAs, assignments, licenses…).

Magali is also a teacher on preparation for the European Qualification Examination (EQE) provided by the ASPI (French association of specialists in Industrial Property) in France, and by the EPI (European Patent Institute) at the European level.


Willy BARBOT, co-founder of SIMODORO®-ip, has a solid scientific background. He has a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University Pierre and Marie Curie (Université Paris VI).

He also has extensive experience in Industrial Property as he spent ten years as a Biotechnologies Patent Attorney in several recognized patent firms.

He was heading teams of patent agents in Biology and also headed a patent department dedicated to life sciences and chemistry.


Experts :


Lucie ALLARD, is a graduate in engineering from the School of Industrial Biology (EBI), and from the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI 2010).  She joined SIMODORO in 2010 and specializes in the fields of Biotechnology, Cosmetics and Food Technology. She focuses on all aspects of preparation and prosecution of patent applications and patentability opinions.

After an experience in the department of Biotechnologies and Chemistry of an important Parisian patent firm, Lucie worked for the Pierre Fabre Laboratories, particularly in the domains of immunology and cosmetics formulation.


Marion PUIMATTO graduated in Pharmacology and Biotechnology from Polytech Nice-Sophia, ex Magistère of Pharmacology of Nice, and from the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) in 2010

After working for almost three years as an engineer in Industrial Property in the Technology Transfer Office of the French Institute of Health and Medical Research INSERM (INSERM transfert), Marion joined SIMODORO®-ip in November, 2010.


Heloïse DOUCET is a graduate in engineering from the School of Industrial Biology (EBI), After an experience in Australia working in the environmental field in a public research organization, Héloïse joined SIMODORO®-ip in March, 2011.


Alexandra Consani is responsible for paralegal and legal administrative procedures for SIMODORO Clients, from patent filing to grant, and has been with SIMODORO®-ip since March, 2011.

She is available for any questions concerning the procedures with French and European offices. Alexandra speaks fluent French, English, Spanish, Italian, and Vietnamese.


Bouchra CHABBAH has been in charge of global administration at SIMODORO®-ip since March, 2011.

Bouchra began her career in a pharmaceutical laboratory, and a biotech start-up where she was working on bookkeeping and administrative questions.
